Tiny Guanxuma beach, with just 100 m of white sand and a nice
fisherman's cottage under the trees, has an enormous stone right in the centre of the bay.
The abundant vegetation of the Atlantic Forest provides a backdrop to the calm and
incredibly transparent waters.
The gigantic stone right in the middle of the bay is the tip of a 6-m deep vertical rock.
Minute whitish corals cover the stone underwater, and there are large black sea urchins
dotted all over it, creating an interesting contrast. Swimming under the water around this
rock is an unforgettable experience. On a sunny day with a calm sea, you have the feeling
you're flying around the enormous rock. |
