A pleasant fishing community, with eight small houses, occupies the centre of this dream beach made of fine, extremely white sand. The combination of the fishermen's boats with their bright, contrasting colours, the enormous hammocks strung up under the shade of coconut trees and the heavenly view of this isolated beach, all go together to create a charming scenario for its visitors.

Vermelha beach is about 400 m long and surrounded by coconut trees, with the sandy area being steeply sloped towards the sea. At the right end, a fresh water river forms a huge pond surrounded by bamboo trees.
