The Įgua Branca trail passes by 3 large wells - excellent for diving - a powerful cascade, 6 m high and a slide about 30 m long. This trail starts right at the entrance to the Ilhabela State Park, on the road leading to Castelhanos. It begins right beside the new kiosk built with resources from the German bank KFW, an institution that has been granting funds for the Park's conservation. Inside this kiosk, there are bathrooms, showers, drinking water and the sentry box for the park guards.

This trail is about 2.5 km long and has a low degree of difficulty, with stairs and hand-rails on the steeper slopes. The Įgua Branca trail is kind of a showroom for the State Park.

It was designed so as to allow the visitors to enjoy the attractions on their own. It is impossible to get lost here: there are plenty of signposts indicating each of the falls and wells, in addition to the signs with the names of the main species of trees and plants in the Atlantic forest that are found along this route.
