This track, along which there are many waterfalls and natural wells for diving, is located right at the entrance of the Ilhabela's State Park, on Km 4 of the road that leads to Castelhanos, on a stretch that can be reached by standard 2 wheel-drive cars with no trouble. It is an easy track, that discloses its first waterfall after a short 200 meter walk.

The track begins right beside the new kiosk built with resources from the German bank KFW, an institution that will be granting funds for the Park´s conservation until the end of 1999 through the Secretaria do Meio Ambiente do Estado de São Paulo (São Paulo State Environment Agency). Inside this kiosk, there are bathrooms, showers, drinking water and the sentry box for the park guards.

It is impossible to get lost here: there are plenty of signposts indicating each of the falls and wells, in addition to the signs with the names of the main species of trees and plants in the Atlantic forest that are found along this route.

This trail is about 2.5 km long under the extremely dense Atlantic Forest, which opens up unexpectedly to disclose the waterfalls. It has a low degree of difficulty, with stairs and hand-rails on the steeper slopes. The Água Branca trail is kind of a showroom for the State Park. It was designed so as to allow the visitors to enjoy the attractions on their own.
